So yesterday I went to the @coastlinersfestival in #oldpooletown to listen to live folk bands, eat the best crunchy chips i've ever had (ever!), and see my artwork displayed in shop windows and on banners! ⚓️ It was such a beautiful day and a big shout out to the @tweedinbourbon, who were especially good at lifting everyone's spirits. 🎼🎻One woman banged the table so hard that my wine nearly fell off the edge- oops!🍷😅 .

Some characters that I designed for an event based upon Poole's maritime history. Find the website for Pirates, Castaways & Codfish here...
A poster that I designed for the Coastliners Sea Shanty and Sea Folk Festival event in Poole.
Find my artwork for this event on instagram: www.instagram.com/coastlinersfestival/ New commission through my Etsy page IsabelleAliceDesign!2 prints with butterflies and flowers to match the colour scheme of a little girls room. A present from her mother for her 8th birthday!
www.etsy.com/uk/shop/IsabelleAliceDesign I was very honoured to be asked to design and create a wedding card for this lovely couple. I had photo references for her wedding dress and the colour scheme in order to make it very personal. The wedding was located at Highlife Castle, as depicted in the background. They loved the card and they are going to frame it, as well as use it for thank you cards. A special moment of the day :) Some shots of the developmental process.....
Here they are! All printed up on A3 ready for the summer season 👍🏻
If you fancy having one of these airbrush designs just head to the henna stall in Bournemouth square ☀️ they should be cut and available very soon! This is my entry for a colouring book competition, run by the Students' Union at the Arts University of Bournemouth. The chosen designs will be assembled into a book and handed out at the Freshers' fair.
Photograph of my final wordless narrative taken back in March of this year, 'The Gulls', perfect bound, I loved this narrative unit. I enjoyed engaging with a poetic visual language, and conducting research into how metaphor and symbolism informs narrative understanding.
This August I had the pleasure of working on a henna stall in Bournemouth town centre, ran by The Henna Parlour as part of the Bournemouth Summer Live event. I met some really wonderful people and enjoyed earning money by doing something that I love, drawing! Before this event I hadn't worked with henna or jagua before, so teaching myself how to use them was a great challenge to undertake! I would love to do it again next year.
But in the meantime, I have had plenty of requests from family and friends to do their henna. It has now become a happy hobby :) |
